Emergency Kit
Your child’s safety is a top priority for us. Oxford Preparatory Academy conducts monthly safety drills, we have a safety team that meets monthly and staff provide feedback after each drill. Our team utilizes this information to update and improve our practices. We believe that by establishing, communicating and practicing the plan we will be able to manage difficult situations more effectively.
As part of our comprehensive school safety plan, we need your help preparing emergency kits for your child(ren). Natural hazards, disasters and emergencies can happen at any time and we must be prepared. This year, we are offering parents two options.
OPTION 1: Parents create their own kit and send it to school by September 30th, 2022 (see guidelines below)
(*Important: Expiration dates should be after June 2023):
Large ziplock bag that includes all the following items
On the front of the bag please write your students name, grade, and teacher
2 individual cans of juice (with pop tops)
2 single-serve cans of fruit or pudding
2 dried fruit packages
2 small cans of tuna or other lunchmeat in pop-top cans
2 peanut butter, cheese and cracker snacks, or granola bars
Travel size disinfectant wipes or sanitizer
