Welcome to our exciting campaign focused on transforming and upgrading the curb appeal of our FUSD preschool! We understand the importance of creating a charming and welcoming enviornment for our little learners, and we're determined to make their daily commute along our walkways a delightful experience.

Objectives:  The main goal of this campaign is to revamp and beautify the Early Childhood Learning Center @ Johnson Ranch campus with a focus on making our entry points more visually appealing and helping to enhance the Johnson Ranch Community. Creating a visually appealing space for our preschoolers, their families, staff and visitors to our facility.  We aim to create a positive first impression for our young district families and to boost the overall aesthetics of the preschool as we look to expand in the future. This will foster a sense of pride and ownership among staff, parents, the district and the community.  

Key Features:

1. Enhanced Landscaping: We will prioritize low water desert flowers, plants and trees that provide shading to lessen our air conditioning costs and to provide shady areas for gatherings, play, and mindfulness activities. Involving our students in the care and maintenance of these plants will enhance curricular ares such as, fine and gross motor skills and language enrichment laying a solid foundation for sciences in the primary grades.This visually stimulating environment will encourage curiosity and exploration by our little ones.
2. Interactive Art Installations:  Our walkways will be adorned with interactive are installations specially designed to engage preschoolers.  These will include wall mosaics, sculptures and sensory wall & fence panels designed to stimulate their imaginatino and creativity as they make their way to and from classrooms. Perhaps most exciting would be the installation of a colorful "ceiling" of umbrellas to protect us from the sun and rain while moving in the breeze!
3. Educational Signage:  WE will place engaging and educational signs along the walkwasy to create opportunities for learning and discovery.  These signs will feature interesting facts, letters, numbers, and shapes.  Each sign will be strategically placed at a child's eye level and accompanied by vibrant visuals to captrue their attention and promote early literacy and numeracy skills.
4. Creative Pathway Markings:  We will introduce creative pathway markings using colorful patterns, shapes and educational lthemes.  These lively and child-friendly markings will enhance the visual appeal of the walkways while providing a playful element for children to explore.  We will build in directionality to aid in visitors having a clear understanding of where a room is while building in some playfulness in their day!
5. Safety enhancements: Along with aesthetic improvements, we will prioriteze safety enhancements along our preschool walkways.  Installing proper lighting, clear signage, and child-friendly safety measures will ensure that our children and their families feel secure during their daily commute around campus.
6. Community Engagement:  We encourage active participation from parents, teachers, and local businesses to join hands and contribute to this transformation.  This campaign present and opportunity for the community to come together and foster a sense of pride in our preschool's environment.
7. Timeline:  Our campaign will kick-off September 1st, 2023 with a Community Stuffies Picnic!  We anticipate that the project will be completed by May 15th, 2024 just in time for preschool promotion ceremonies.  This will be a wonderful capstone to our first year under the direction of an on-site principal, and prepare us to welcome our sister site colleagues and families from the Early Childhood Learning Center @ Mountain Vista Academy to their new home for the 2024-2025 school year.
